  1.                             Lymphangitis
  2. SYMPTOMS. There is usually high fever, chills, headache, swelling of the
  3. lymph node, general aching and malaise.
  4. CAUSES. Lymphangitis is an inflammation of the lymph channels. It is
  5. usually caused by staph or strep bacteria. There may be irregular pink,
  6. tender streaks that extend up the arm or leg to the lymph nodes in the
  7. underarm or groin as the infection spreads.
  8. TREATMENT. Antibiotic therapy is usually prescribed for the infection.
  9. .If the case is severe, you will probably require bed rest and elevation of
  10.  the affected area.
